Frequently asked questions

Can a foreigner set up a company in Spain?

Yes. Non-residents can incorporate a Spanish company (most commonly an S.L., the Spanish limited company). You will need a NIE, a Spanish bank account for the share capital and notarised incorporation documents. We handle the entire process, coordinating with the notary and the Companies Registry.

What is the difference between an S.L. and being autonomo?

An autonomo is a self-employed individual with unlimited personal liability; an S.L. is a limited company whose liability is separated from your personal assets. The right choice depends on turnover, risk and tax position — we advise before you commit to either structure.

How do I recover an unpaid debt in Spain?

Spain has an efficient payment-order procedure (procedimiento monitorio) for documented debts, alongside ordinary civil claims. A formal demand from a law firm often resolves matters without court. We assess the debtor and choose the fastest cost-effective route.

Do you review contracts in English?

We review and draft contracts governed by Spanish law and explain every clause to you in English. If you are asked to sign a Spanish-language contract — a lease, a franchise, a supply agreement — have it reviewed before signing, not after a dispute arises.
